Frequently Asked Questions

Booking & Payments

Use the Request an Offer form or email [email protected] with your dates, number of guests, and preferred yacht (Kyknos or Zoe).

Your booking is confirmed once you receive a written Booking Confirmation/Quote and the required payment is received.

Advance payment: 40% within 15 days of booking confirmation. Balance: 60% due 1 month before embarkation.

Discounts (e.g., early booking or promotional offers) may apply when available and are confirmed in your quote.

Security Deposit & Responsibility

If a security deposit applies, it can be paid by credit card or cash at base before embarkation (as confirmed in your Booking Confirmation). The deposit is refundable and is released after check-out inspection, subject to no damage/loss.

No. We do not offer a security deposit waiver. Charters are secured with the standard refundable security deposit. If you want additional cover, you may be able to arrange it through your own provider (e.g., travel insurance), subject to their terms.

A deposit may still apply depending on the yacht/charter type (confirmed in your Booking Confirmation). Your skipper is responsible for operating the yacht safely; however, the Charterer remains responsible for issues caused by the Charterer/guests such as misuse, negligence, or missing/lost equipment.

If a skipper is onboard, they require a designated berth. We’ll confirm the sleeping arrangement based on the yacht layout and your group size before booking.

Cancellation & Changes

More than 30 days before embarkation: cancellation fee is 40% of the final price.
30 days or less before embarkation: cancellation fee is 100%.

If availability allows, we may offer rebooking under the same conditions. If rebooking is accepted and completed, no cancellation fees apply.

If official restrictions make it objectively impossible to travel to Greece for your charter period (e.g., government border closures), we may offer rebooking under the same conditions, subject to availability. Otherwise, the cancellation terms above apply.

Costs & What’s Included

Your Quote / Booking Confirmation clearly lists the total price and exactly what it includes. The price refers to the yacht charter fee (and any selected extras you choose), and any additional services/extras are shown item-by-item in the quote. Unless stated otherwise in your quote, the charter price does not include costs such as fuel, marina/port fees, provisioning, transfers, or other optional extras.

Typically: fuel, marina/port fees, provisioning (food/drinks), transfers, and optional extras—unless your quote states otherwise.

Fuel cost depends on route, weather, and how many hours you motor. As a rough guide for a typical 1-week Sporades charter, many clients budget around €150–€300 for fuel. If there’s heavier motoring (light winds / longer distances), it can be higher. We can give a more accurate estimate once you share your preferred itinerary.

Check-in & Check-out

Unless we confirm differently in writing, standard times are: check-in 17:00 and check-out 09:00.

We can sometimes offer early check-in or late check-out (including Saturday morning return) depending on schedule and turnaround. Ask in advance and we’ll confirm availability and any applicable fees.

Usually no. For bareboat charters, guests are typically required to return to base on Friday evening to complete check-out procedures. Saturday morning return may be possible only if there is no follow-up charter and we can accommodate it based on schedule and turnaround. If you need this, ask in advance and we’ll confirm what’s possible.

Yacht Availability & Replacements

In the unlikely event the yacht becomes unavailable due to serious technical issues or safety reasons, we will inform you as soon as possible and, where feasible, offer a comparable alternative (subject to availability), reschedule, or provide a refund in line with the Charter Party terms.

Licences & Cruising Area

Send us your licence details (country/issuer, level) and your experience. We’ll confirm whether it’s suitable for your planned charter and yacht.

Our charters are for Greek waters only. You can request different routes within Greece (including other islands/areas beyond the Sporades), and we’ll confirm what’s possible based on the yacht, weather, and operational planning.

Weather & Safety

Safety comes first. The skipper/captain may adjust the itinerary or schedule due to weather or Port Authority guidance.
